Across two meets over three days to close out the regular season, Ombretta Picciolie Minkue Meye lit up the track every time she competed, delivering not only her best times of the season, but also one of her career through the 60m, 200m, 400m, and 4x400m relay.
Starting with the Fastrack Last Chance Invitational on
Feb. 26, Minkue Meye first matched her season-best with a 7.57 in the 60m prelims (remaining 23rd in the country) then proceeded to go 54.63 in the 400m and nearly break Keanna Moody's 54.48 program record set in 2016. The Metz, France native entered into a tie for fourth in the nation with Azusa Pacific's Jaylah Walker as a result.
Minkue Meye highlighted the BU Last Chance Meet on
Feb. 28 by teaming with Alice Coisne, Selena Arjona-Alcazar, and Erine Collard for a very strong 4x400m. Running the opening leg, the Communications & Media Technologies major exploded out of the gate with a 53.43 split to help her team run the second-fastest time in program history at 3:43.22, putting the Urban Knights second in the country. Along with her efforts in the 4x400m, Minkue Meye posted her best 200m time of the season at 24.50 to tie for 24th in NCAA DII.
