Senior Jordan Rogers led by example during the Urban Knights' season-opening sweep of a pair of games in the CCAA/PacWest Tournament this past weekend. Rogers averaged 13.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while providing key defensive stops in Friday's win over Humboldt State and clutch offense down the stretch in ART U's victory over tournament host Cal State East Bay on Saturday.

Against the Jacks, Rogers helped her team provide swarming defense and registered three blocked shots as well as two steals to go with eight points scored and five rebounds. Then in the tournament's finale, the senior broke out for 18 points and 10 rebounds (including a career-high eight on the offensive glass which was double her previous high). Rogers spread out her scoring evenly across both halves and knocked down two key free throws to give ART U its final winning margin.

"Jordan had a huge game with a double-double and was definitely a difference maker," head coach LaNay Larson said after Saturday's game.
