Following up a strong 2014 debut in which she finished second at the Lancer Invitational earlier this month, sophomore McKaela Christenson took first overall at this past week's SF State/Academy of Art/Cal State East Bay Tri-Meet on Sept. 18.

Christenson was locked in a battle with CSUEB's Imani Heath for much of the 4.5k race through Golden Gate Park's Speedway Meadows and ultimately used a major kick midway through the final lap to pull ahead and finish with a time of 22:05.
