Freshman outfielder Samantha Klune continued to tear it up at the plate this past week, logging hits in all three of Academy of Art Softball's trio of games while propelling the Urban Knights to a 3-2 win with a two-run homer in her final at-bat.

After going 1-for-3 in each of ART U's two home games against Cal State Stanislaus on Feb. 10, Klune helped foreshadow the Knights' comeback with a single in the second inning at SF State on Feb. 11. Academy of Art had hits in each inning against the Gators with none bigger than the two-run blast she sent to right center in the sixth for a big momentum shift.

Klune is now hitting .400 (6-for-15) on the year with two home runs, four runs batted in, and three runs scored. She ranks top 10 in the PacWest in both average and homers thus far.
