In her third weekend of action, Ombretta Picciolie Minkue Meye had two days to remember inside the Kelly Family Sports Center for the Grand Valley State Big Meet.

On Feb. 8, she began by running her two best races in an ART U uniform in the 60m and 200m. After finishing fourth of 41 sprinters in the 60m prelims (7.71), Minkue Meye dropped under 7.60 for the first time this year, posting a season-best 7.58 for a runner-up finish in the final. It would improve her position as a provisional qualifier up into Division II's top 15. The Communications & Media Technologies major then followed that with another season-best (25.11) in the 200m.

One day later on Feb. 9, Minkue Meye claimed second of 86 sprinters overall in the 200m with a Nationals provisional qualifying time of 24.79. The new season-best puts her top 25 in the country thus far. In a 72-competitor women's 60m prelims, Minkue Meye finished first overall, marking a 7.69 time which she would better with an event-leading 7.62 in the final.
