Junior catcher Lauryn Henderson returned to her powerful ways this past week, crushing a home run in each of Academy of Art softball's wins over Holy Names on Mar. 20.

After going 1-for-4 in the Mar. 19 doubleheader with the Hawks, the Game Development major blasted a two-run homer in the sixth inning of the third game of the series, a contest the Urban Knights ended up winning 7-6. In the finale, Henderson then broke an 8-8 tie in the bottom of the ninth with another two-run shot to center field, capping a 3-for-6 performance that had seen her double twice earlier in the game. For the week, the Gilbert, Ariz. native was 5-for-12 with two home runs, two doubles, four runs batted in, and three runs scored.

On the season, Henderson is now hitting .273 with a team-best .636 slugging percentage highlighted by the two homers, two doubles, and four RBIs.
