Helping lead the Urban Knights at the ITA West Regionals was Sofia Ragona, who would capture the championship in the doubles draw along with partner Yun "Nicole" Shiau, claiming a spot at the ITA Cup in Georgia later this month. En route to the title, the pair defeated three other seeded opponents, including the top-seeded Colbeyshae Emery and Mary Brascia of Biola. In a match that would come down to the wire, Ragona and Shiau were able to outlast their opponents by a final of 8-6 to be declared the winners of the doubles draw. Additionally, Ragona was just two steps away from claiming victory in the singles draw, making it all the way to the semifinals before falling to eventual champion and No. 6 seed Eleanor Liga.
