A huge breakout performance came from Selena Arjona-Alcazar in the 60m dash at the Hillsdale Wide-Track Invitational this past week.
Competing in a total of four 60m races including the prelims and finals, Arjona-Alcazar finished first overall on each occasion with a new personal record emerging from the event on
Jan. 28. The Panama City, Panama native began with her fastest time to date at 7.60 then dropped another 0.05 off that mark for a 7.55 in the final. The time elevated her to fourth in ART U history and seventh in NCAA Division II currently.
The weekend concluded with Arjona-Alcazar once again dominating the event at the Hillsdale Wide-Track Classic on
Jan. 29, going 7.60 and 7.61 in the prelims and finals respectively.
