San Francisco, CA--  The Academy of Art University's women's softball team will play their 2009 fall season games over  the next couple of  weeks. The Urban Knights will play a two day, four game tournament in Hayward, CA on October 10th and 11th. The women then play a double header at their home field in Brisbane, CA on October 24th.

The Battle of the Bay tournament on October 10th and 11th features different teams compiled from local Junior Colleges, Division II and Division I teams. The Urban Knights first play cross town Division II rivals San Francisco State at 1:00pm followed by St.Mary's College (Division I) at 4:00pm on October 10th. In their Sunday, October 11th games, the Urban Knights face Humboldt State (Division II) at 2:00pm and wrap up the tournament playing San Jose Community College at 4:00pm.

The Academy of Art University will wrap up their quick fall season with a double header at their home field on Saturday, October 24th. They will host CSU Monterey Bay at 10:00am followed by College of San Mateo at 2:00pm. CSU Monterey Bay and College of San Mateo will play each other in the 12:00pm game. The Urban Knights' home field is Mission Blue field located in Brisbane, CA. All of the Urban Knights' home games for the 2009-2010 season will be played at Mission Blue.

These two weekends of games will be the entire fall season for the Urban Knights. After the games on October 24th, the Urban Knights will not play again until February 3rd, 2010. Be sure to check the website for updates on the softball team throughout the year.
