About the Homestand: The women recently hosted a brief two game homestand against Dominican University and Notre Dame de Namur University. These were ART U's first games since their return from Hawaii, and it proved successful. The Knights battled both games into double overtime, and not once did they falter. ART U first defeated Dominican with a score of 2-1 in the 106th minute of the game. They later finished in a tie with NDNU after two complete overtime periods.

Up Next for the Knights: ART U heads to UC Santa Cruz to face the Division III members in a non-conference match up on October 16th. This will be the second time the two teams will face each other, both times being at the Banana Slug's home field. The match is set for 3:00 pm.

As a team, the Knights have posted 11 goals and eight assists thus far. Goal keepers, sophomores Hana Klimek and Melissa Co, have combined for a total of 67 saves, two wins, and over 1135 minutes of play.

Scouting UC Santa Cruz: The Banana Slugs currently have a 0-9-2 record, but are playing some tough competition. In their last game, the Slugs fell to No.8 ranked Cal Baptist University. UC Santa Cruz is led by Brooke Atkinson, and Roxanne Beltran who both have one goal for two points this season. Jessica Scolaro, and Kiku Koyano both have recorded one assist for one point this year. The team is anchored by six seniors, four juniors, 11 sophomores, and 10 freshmen. When the Knights and Banana slugs faced each other last season, UC Santa Cruz came away with a 1-0 win.

The Knights then start conference play back up by hosting Grand Canyon on Oct. 28th. Both games will be held at Boxer Stadium.
