GAME #1 BOX SCORE

Warrensburg, MO ---
The Urban Knights took the floor this morning to face a tough Eckerd College team. Unfortunately they dropped the match in three sets, (17-25, 18-25, 18-25). Dan Yang paced the Knights, who drop to 2-5, with 12 kills.

The start of day two of the Peggy Martin Classic did not go as well as they hoped. ART U opened the match on a service error to put them behind early, and never really found their groove for the remainder of the match. Despite hitting a .407 as a team in the first, the Tritons were able to open up a six point lead over the Knights early in set one, 6-12, en route to the 17-25 win.

The Urban Knights had no answer for the attacking power of Eckerd College as they dropped the second and third set by the same margin, 18-25. In a set that saw eight ties and three lead changes, ART U connected for just seven kills in the second set while the Tritons more than doubled that number with 17 kills.
Eckerd College carried that momentum to the final set, jumping out to a 10-3 lead that the Urban Knights could not overcome.

Olivia Fraser had 16 kills on 22 attacks to lead the Tritons. Lindsey Biggs was right behind her with 12 kills and two aces.

Melissa Cheng
had a match high 27 assists and five digs. Angela Heath had another impressive match connecting for seven kills, while Caitlin Boring contributed five kills on 10 attempts.
