TIPPING OFF
The Urban Knights keep improving and played arguably their best basketball game of the season on Saturday, shooting well from the floor and distributing the ball against UC San Diego. Saturday's game was an improvement over Wednesday's matchup with Cal State East Bay, which in turn was a better game than the previous weekend against SF State and Chico State.

MUCHO SHAMSUD-DIN-ERO
Junior guard Ameer Shamsud-din took over Saturday's game against UC San Diedgo, scoring 25 points in the first half and finishing with 32 on the game while playing all 40 minutes. The mark was a program record for before the break, and Shamsud-din accounted for 25 of the Urban Knights 38 first-half points. He now ranks second on the team in scoring at 14.8 points per game, and earned the PacWest Player of the Week honors

SPREADING THE SCORING
After Shamsud-din's big night, Academy of Art now has three players that have put up over 20 points in one game. Czar Robotham put up a career-high 21 points in the exhibition against UC Santa Cruz back on Nov. 5th, William Overton, Jr. scored 26 points against Cal State East Bay on Nov. 16th, and Shamssud-din totaled 32 on Saturday. Noah Koné-Nelson also added 12 points in back-to-back games, giving the Knights a bevy of scoring options.

STORMING THE FORT
The Fort Lewis Skyhawks gave head coach Bob Hofman his 400th collegiate victory on Sunday night and picked up their first win of 2011, defeating Northeastern State (OK) 69-60. Senior guard Matt Billups leads the 'Hawks with 15 points per game, and junior center Torrey Udall is right behind him with 10.5 points per contest. Udall had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds against Northeastern, while Billups dropped 23 against Division I Colorado.

FALCONS FLYING HIGH
No. 22 Seattle Pacific is off to a 4-0 start after their sweep of the Sodexo GNAC/PacWest Challenge, defeating Hawaii Pacific and BYU-Hawaii. They also defeated the Arizona Wildcats in an exhibition match earlier this year. David Downs was named the MVP of the tournament, putting up a two-game total of 44 points, including 24 against BYU-Hawaii. Downs, the 2011 GNAC Freshman of the Year, is averagin 19.4 points per game so far.

LOOKING AHEAD
After the Thanksgiving holiday, the Urban Knights will hit the road to take on Division I Fresno State on Nov. 30th before returning home to face Menlo College on Dec. 3rd at Kezar Pavilion.
