KNIGHT WATCH

Academy of Art is still fourth in the PacWest in both blocks per set (2.19) and service aces per set (1.65) as a team (2.17). Junior middle blocker
Margaret Winkler's conference-leading 1.16 blocks per set (29th in NCAA DII) are a big reason why and redshirt sophomore middle blocker
Safua Elisaia has moved into the PacWest's top 10 with a 0.93 blocks per set average. Winkler needs just three more blocks to become the fourth Knight to register 200 blocks in a career, joining greats Amy Bush, Lindsay Elgin, and Angela Heath. Senior outside hitter
Melissa Brum, who averages a team-high 3.07 kills per set, comes into this weekend just a single kill (1312) behind kills career leader Dan Yang and tied with Yang for total career points (1459). Additionally, she is 27 digs from becoming the program's career leader. Freshman setter
Lilika Teu remains ninth in the PacWest at 6.54 assists per set and redshirt freshman
Ema Causevic's 0.41 service aces per set (ranked third in PacWest) is on pace to be the highest single-season average in program history.
BLAZING A NEW TRAIL
Coming off its 2015 PacWest title and a trip to NCAA West Regionals, Dixie State started the year 3-4 after falling to numerous ranked teams (No. 14 Western Washington, No. 12 Alaska Anchorage, No. 15 Cal State San Bernardino) in the D2 West Region Volleyball Showcase. The Trailblazers (a new mascot as of this season) proceeded to go 9-0 to start PacWest Conference play. Since then, DSU has dropped four consecutive matches heading into its Oct. 28 matchup with NDNU. Three individuals average 3+ points per set with Delayne Daniel (3.78), Taylor Duryea (3.33), and Lindsay Garrett (3.02) all threats offensively. The Trailblazers hold a 10-4 advantage all-time against the Knights through 14 previous meetings.
ARGONAUTS TOP KNIGHTS IN FOUR-SET BATTLE
Inside Fresno Pacific's Special Events Center on
Oct. 22, Academy of Art University volleyball rallied back from a 2-0 deficit, but ended up falling to the Sunbirds 3-1 (25-12, 25-21, 22-25, 26-24). With her 16th and final kill late in the fourth set, Brum became the program's all-time points leader.
LOOKING AHEAD
On the road for its next four matches, ART U first heads to Azusa Pacific on Nov. 3, then California Baptist on Nov. 3, and finally Point Loma on Nov. 5.
