KNIGHT WATCH
Academy of Art continues to move up nationally in a variety of statistical categories. The Urban Knights are now fifth in turnover margin (+8.26), ninth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.28), ninth in scoring offense (80.4 points per game), 10th in offensive rebounds per game (17.0), and 16th in steals per game (11.2). Points off turnovers remain one of ART U's most notable numbers as the team comes into this weekend averaging 22.8. Named PacWest Player of the Week for the second time this season, senior guard
Jasmin Guinn ranks fourth in the country in steals per game (3.59) and is on her way to 300 in her career, needing just 15 more. Jostling with leading scorers from California Baptist and Dixie State, Guinn is now third in the PacWest in scoring (19.4 ppg, 16th in DII) and ranks 30th in the country in double-doubles after her 11th (20 points, 11 rebounds) at Point Loma. She remains fifth in the PacWest in offensive rebounding (3.1 rpg) and recently surpassed a milestone of 800 in her career.
After posting a career-high 26 points at PLNU, senior guard
Regina Camera has vaulted into 11th among PacWest scorers at 15.2 points per game. She adds the second-most rebounds per game on the team (5.6 rpg), averages 3.9 assists per game (fifth in PacWest), and adds 2.3 steals per game for production virtually unrivaled in the conference. She is two steals away from 200 in her career. Four thefts from 200 as well, senior guard
Zoie Sheng also had a one of the best games of her career at Point Loma, approaching the program's first quadruple-double with nine points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and seven steals. She averages 14.7 points per game (13th in PacWest) and is fourth in the conference (31st in NCAA DII) at 5.0 assists per game. Now beyond 400 assists in her career, she comes in ranking 21st in the country in assist-to-turnover ratios (2.3) and also recently broke the school's single-season assist record with 136 thus far.

The fourth Urban Knight averaging double figures in scoring is senior guard
Sha'Nice Storey who has made nine 3-pointers in her last two games. She is putting up 12.4 points per game and ranks fourth in the PacWest in three-point field goals made (2.4). Storey still needs 11 more to set a new single-season school record for triples made.
ART U EARNS HIGHEST NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGAfter a
thrilling win on the road at Point Loma this past Monday, Academy of Art University women's basketball made program history in Wednesday's announcement of the NCAA Division II Regional rankings. The Urban Knights have earned a sixth place ranking in the West Region, their highest ever since the program reached
seventh at the end of the 2013-14 season.
COOL RUNNINGSAfter falling to ART U
88-79 in San Francisco on Dec. 17, Dominican has become one of the hottest teams in the PacWest. The Penguins won seven of their next eight games and are now 9-1 at home. Dominican hit a rough patch recently, dropping three straight to Point Loma, California Baptist, and Azusa Pacific, but they remain fifth in the conference standings, playing for a place in the PacWest Championship Tournament. With the PacWest's third-highest offense (80.3 ppg) and second-highest field goal (.443), it comes as little surprise that Allyssa Weatherd, the conference's leader in field goal percentage (.582), has been the Penguins' guide at 18.4 ppg. Sandra Ikeora has also cracked the PacWest's top 10 scorers at 15.8 ppg. The Knights are 13-1 all-time against Dominican.
LANCERS AT A GLANCECurrently ranked fourth in the country, California Baptist has battled ART U atop the PacWest standings all year long and Tuesday will finally see the two teams clash. The Lancers won seven in a row to start the year before sustaining the first and only loss, 73-63 to Azusa Pacific. Since that time, CBU has rattled off 16 consecutive wins including a 63-62 redemption hosting the Cougars on Jan. 16. California Baptist recently finished a 14-0 year at home and will play Point Loma on Feb. 19 prior to heading to the Bay Area. The Lancers rank third in the country in scoring offense (85.5 ppg) and are fourth in both rebounding (48 rpg) and assists per game (19.5). A major part of that high-powered offense runs through Cassidy Mihalko, the PacWest's leading scorer who is 11th in the country in points per game (20.2) and shoots 57 percent from the field (49 percent from three) while Kamille Diaz is the PacWest leader in assists (6.2 apg, seventh in DII) and Darsha Burnside is second in the conference at 10.3 rebounds per game. It is a 4-3 lead for ART U over CBU in the all-time matchup.
