PREPARING FOR THE FINAL STAND
Returning from their final road trip to southern California, Academy of Art women's soccer will return home for their final homestand of the season. Back in the Bay Area, they will take on Biola, Point Loma, and finish out the 2017 season with Concordia. On Saturday, ART U will celebrate senior day with six student-athletes graduating from the program:

Abigail Chavez,
Kaelyn Harbison,
Laney Haviland, and
Aliya Salas.

Thursday's match against the Eagles will take place at 10:30 a.m. with Saturday and Sunday's contests kicking off at noon.

KNOTABLE KNIGHTS
Senior midfielder
Abigail Chavez extended her team lead in points with her
most recent goal against Azusa Pacific, bringing her up to three goals on the year and seven points. Freshman midfielder
Sydney Cooke follows in second with four points off of one goal and a team-leading, two assists.
BIOLA LEAVES HOME A WINNER
In their final home game of the season on senior night, the Eagles were able to defeat a tough, Point Loma opponent 1-0. Biola still sits in the middle of the standings (sixth) with a respectable 6-3-2 PacWest record. Three players stand out in terms of offense for the Eagles scoring four or more goals each. This group is lead by Samantha Verduzco who leads the team with five goals.

SEA LIONS CONTINUE FINAL ROAD TRIP
Point Loma is currently 0-1 in their final road trip of the season, dropping their most recent match at Biola. Even so, the Sea Lions are in the exact middle of the standings with a 6-5 PacWest record. Abbey Teagle leads the team's offense with three goals and four assists.

EAGLES ON TWO-GAME WIN STREAK
Concordia started their final road trip on a strong note by defeating Holy Names 3-0. The Eagles will have two matches before they take on the Urban Knights: first against Notre Dame de Namur, then they face off with Dominican. Concordia is currently fifth in the PacWest Conference with 21 points. Carmany Jones holds the top spot in goals for the Eagles with six on the year. Equally as impressive, teammate Cienah Reed has contributed many assists this year, accounting for a team-leading six.

Oct. 28 - Trailing at the end of the first half, Academy of Art women's soccer was unable to overcome the deficit, falling to first-place California Baptist University 5-0.
