PacWest Conference Weekly Awards (Oct. 1)

Jillian Wheaton continued to attack with an extremely high efficiency and has been named PacWest Freshman of the Week for the second straight time. The award is based on matches between Sept. 23-30.
Wheaton started the Urban Knights' Hawaii roadtrip with a team-high 14 kills against UH Hilo on
Sept. 28, hitting .519 in that contest while adding two block assists. She then elevated her hitting percentage to a season-best .571 at Hawaii Pacific on
Sept. 30, finishing with eight kills and making it back-to-back matches without an error.
After hitting .536 across the two matches last week, Wheaton now boasts a .343 hitting percentage which is highest in the PacWest Conference among freshman and has her ranked eighth overall.
This is the second PacWest weekly award for Wheaton in her career after she earned the honor on
Sept. 24.
