INTO THE ICEBOX
A host of the West Region Volleyball Showcase like Academy of Art, Dominican started the year 2-3 overall then 1-4 in PacWest play. The Penguins have managed conference wins over Hawaii Pacific, Notre Dame de Namur, and Fresno Pacific while dropping nine other contests. Dominican's matchup with ART U will be the second installment in an eight-part homestand. The Penguins' two standouts thus far have been Josie Walser (second in the PacWest in assists per set at 8.30) and Hana Wyles (fourth in the PacWest in digs per set at 4.62). Through 20 total previous meetings, the Penguins and Knights are an even 10-10.
WE BE CHAMIN'
Since defeating Academy of Art on Oct. 1 in Honolulu, Chaminade has won three of four matches, finishing its homestand by beating UH Hilo, Concordia, and Hawaii Pacific despite taking a loss to Biola. The Knights still hold an 8-7 all-time edge over the Silverswords.
