Saint Leo, Fla. -- Academy of Art women's tennis started strong against No. 3 Saint Leo, sweeping the doubles point and taking a 3-2 lead, but the Lions came back to win a pair of games in the third set and win the match.
ART U started the day strong with a sweep in doubles to take a 1-0 lead. Junior

Sofia Ragona claimed the first victory, with a 6-4 win over Nina Furmaniak and Nastasia Jedrychowsk. The pair of seniors

Taisiia Andrieieva earned their first win of the season by taking down Georgia Dobell and Marta Vicens Miquel 6-4. The sweep was completed when seniors and No. 1 ranked
Alma Thell-Lenntorp and
Klara Thell-Lenntorp defeated Andrea Ivanovic and Kristyna Jurkova 7-6 in the top position.
The Urban Knights first singles win came from No. 46 K. Thell-Lenntorp by way of a 6-4, 6-4 victory over No. 69 Marta Vicens Miquel to tie the match at 2-2. The next point was a historic one, A. Thell-Lenntorp tied the program's career singles win record with her 61st victory as an Urban Knight. The memorable point came on a 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Andrea Ivanovic that gave ART U a 3-2 lead. Ragona and Andrieieva both won their first sets, but the Lions came back to win two straight sets in both games and take the 4-3 win. Â
After the close loss to No. 3 Â Saint Leo, Academy of Art moves to 8-4. The Urban Knights went 1-2 in their tough Florida road trip and will return to the Bay to face Azusa Pacific April 1 at 9 a.m.
