KNIGHT WATCH

Among the standouts on the team this season has been sophomore goalkeeper
Nicole Peoples, as the two-time PacWest Defender of the Week had her streak of consecutive saves without allowing a goal reach 36 straight stops, spanning a total of 354 minutes of game action. Unfortunately, the streak would come to an end during the first half on a crossing play into the box from Biola. For the season, Peoples' goals against average remains under one at 0.97 while also posting a .889 save percentage, having made a total of 48 saves on 107 shots faced.
Leading the offense with two points is junior midfielder
Reyna Valencia, as she is the owner of the only ART U goal early into the season, while her seven shots put her into a three-way tie for second place on the team along with junior forwards
Baylie Christensen and
Brooklyn Morera. Putting up the most shots on the Knights is freshman midfielder
Zineb Ighirri, with a team-high six of those shots on goal, while a total of 12 different Urban Knights have recorded a shot on the season.
DORMANT VULCANS
It has been a 5-3-0 start to the season for UH Hilo, including a 2-1-0 mark to begin PacWest play with back-to-back victories over Holy Names (4-0) and Fresno Pacific (3-2) after dropping the PacWest opener to Azusa Pacific (1-0). The loss to APU has been the only loss in the last six matches for the Vulcans, as the defeat had snapped a three-match winning streak over the likes of SF State, Hawai'i Pacific and Chaminade. As a squad, UH Hilo has totaled 124 shots on the season for an average of 15.5 shots per match, including a total of 61 shots over the past two matches against the Hawks and Sunbirds. Pacing the Vulcans in points and goals is Daelenn Tokunaga, as her eight goals and 18 points are both tops in the PacWest and double that of her closest teammate. Projected to make the start in goal is Viviana Poli, as she owns a .806 save percentage and a 0.81 goals against average with 25 saves on 65 shots faced. It's the Vulcans that lead the Knights in the all-time series, 10-2-1.
SOARING PAST THE HAWKS
Holy Names enters the matchup still looking for its first win in 2021, as the Hawks are 0-9 on the season and have scored just a single goal from the boot of Alyssa Acuna. Her seven shots are a team-high, while Abbi Alexander has put all six of her shots this season on goal to help drive the offense. Platooning in goal for the Hawks is the combination of Abigail Burnell and Nyah Summers, with Burnell posting a .716 save percentage in seven matches while Summers owns a .653 save percentage. This will be the second meeting of the season, this time set for conference action, as the Knights
claimed their first win of the season in non-conference action on Sept. 22. Now having won the past three meetings, ART U leads HNU in the all-time series, 7-4-1.
SECOND-HALF GOALS FROM SEA LIONS STEAL PACWEST WIN
Though Academy of Art women's soccer was able to remain level with Point Loma through the first half on Saturday, a quick pair of second-half goals would help PLNU snag a Pacific West Conference win, 2-0.
LOOKING AHEAD
It will be nearly a full week before the Urban Knights return to the pitch, as next on the schedule is a showdown with the Sunbirds of Fresno Pacific on Saturday, Oct. 16 at noon.
