SARATOGA, Calif. – Academy of Art softball's game hosting MSU Moorhead was canceled due to an emergency at West Valley College that caused the campus to be locked down midway through the contest on Monday.

Playing one game instead of the previously scheduled doubleheader at WVC, the Urban Knights and Dragons each scored in the first inning and MSUM was ahead 3-1 in the top of the fifth inning when a campus lockdown occurred which ultimately forced the contest's cancelation.

The Urban Knights are now slated to continue Pacific West Conference play, making up their trip to Azusa Pacific that was rescheduled from earlier in the season due to inclement weather. ART U and APU will face off in a pair of doubleheaders on Mar. 17-18.
