PacWest Weekly Awards (Jan. 3)

IRVINE, Calif. – Leading a Pacific West Conference victory over Hawaii Pacific that featured impressive defense, Academy of Art women's basketball freshman guard Lucia Revenga's season-high seven steals helped her be named PacWest Defender of the Week. The award is for games played from Dec. 30 - Jan. 2.

The Jan. 2 matchup to start the New Year saw Revenga collect seven steals (leading to six transition points) to tie for the second-highest of any PacWest competitor this season as well as four defensive rebounds. Five of those seven thefts came in the fourth quarter as ART U pulled away from HPU toward a 55-44 win that marked the Urban Knights' fewest points allowed since Feb. 19, 2023.

Revenga currently leads the conference at 2.4 steals per game while adding 10.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest.

This is the first PacWest weekly honor for Revenga in her career.
