PacWest Weekly Awards (Apr. 29)

Kayla Vaughan was named PacWest Pitcher of the Week. The award is for games played from Apr. 22-28.
Taking the mound for her 18th start of the year, Vaughan allowed just six total baserunners (three hits, three walks) in a complete 7.0 innings of scoreless action against the Penguins on
Apr. 26. Among her highlights were striking out the side as part of eight total strikeouts (her second-highest total of the year) on the day.
Vaughan wrapped up a strong debut season as the conference's leader among freshmen in strikeouts (95),complete games (11), and innings pitched (118.0).
This is the first PacWest weekly honor for Vaughan in her career.
