Jamal Fuller Named To NABC Honors Court

2023-24 NABC Honors Court

Jamal FullerKANSAS CITY, Mo. – After assisting Academy of Art men's basketball bring home its first career regular season Pacific West Conference Championship this past season, junior Jamal Fuller was rewarded for his hard work in the classroom with a selection to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.

"I am really proud of Jamal's academic performance over the course of his two years at ART U," said Head Coach Scott Waterman. "One of the pillars of our program is excellence in the classroom and this is a prime example of that. We wish Jamal best of luck in his final collegiate season at LIU Brooklyn and know he will continue to thrive both on and off the court."

For a student-athlete to earn a spot on the NABC Honors Court they must be of upperclassmen standing (junior, senior, or graduate student), as well as finish the 2023-24 academic year with above a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.

In his second year competing for ART U, Fuller showed his authority on the court once again, this time leading the PacWest Conference in points per game and breaking the program record for most points in a single season as an Urban Knight, all while adding a 3.46 cumulative GPA in the School of Communications & Media Technologies. The Toronto native posted double-digit points in 28 of his 29 games played including each of the final 16 contests while dropping a career high 33 points on Nov. 22.

Fuller concludes his second season as an Urban Knight with his second career Academic All-PacWest Team award, an All-PacWest First Team selection, was named to both the D2CCA All-West Region Second Team and NABC All-West Region Second Team, and now has collected his second career NABC Honors Court selection to date.
