Dan "Phooey" Yang enters her first year with the Academy of Art coaching staff after playing three seasons for the Urban Knights.
Yang was a member of the inaugural ART U women's volleyball team. Honored with All-PacWest First Team selections in 2010 and 2009, Yang served as an elite outside hitter for the Knights and totaled 1,314 kills in her Academy of Art career. She ranked first in the PacWest Conference in total kills both years and was among the top three in total points for those two seasons as well.
Yang was born in Beijing, China and will be continuing her education at the Academy of Art in the Fashion department while serving as an Urban Knights student assistant.
