Academy of Art University Athletics

Talia Thompson began as a student assistant with Academy of Art volleyball in September 2019.

Thompson joined Academy of Art in 2016 and, after redshirting her first two years (one a medical redshirt), played in 13 sets and seven matches in 2018. She earned Academic All-PacWest honors that year.

A four-year honor student at Northridge High School in Layton, Utah, Thompson was part of the All-Region and All-Area Team as well as a two-time team captain (2014 & 2015). She averaged 3.1 kills per set as a junior and contributed to a 75-24 combined record across three years on varsity. Her most memorable moment was registering 11 aces during the state semi-final game against Pleasant Grove High. The Laie, Hawaii native also competed for High Country Volleyball Club.

She continues to pursue her dream of becoming a sports reporter/analyst for ESPN within the Academy of Art School of Communications & Media Technologies.
