PacWest Conference Players of the Week (Feb. 15)
IRVINE, Calif. -- For a program-record fifth time this season, senior guard
Jasmin Guinn was honored by the Pacific West Conference, earning her second Player of the Week after contributing across the board in two road wins for ART U women's basketball. The awards are based on games played Feb. 8-14.
Guinn started the Urban Knights' three-part roadtrip with 23 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and three steals at Dixie State on
Feb. 11. She would score 15 of those points on 5-for-7 shooting from the field in the second half as Academy of Art closed out the win strong. Then on
Feb. 13 at Concordia, Guinn recorded her 10th double-double of the year, going for 17 points while tying her season-high of 14 rebounds, adding a career-high seven assists, and notching three steals as well.
In the two wins, Guinn averaged 20.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. After recording her 20th and 21st games with three or more steals this season (including eight in a row), she is now the the PacWest steals leader by more than a full steal per game, averaging 3.7 per contest.
This is Guinn's fourth career PacWest Player of the Week honor and her fifth weekly award this season after she was Player of the Week on
Nov. 16 and Defender of the Week on
Nov. 30,
Jan. 11, and
Feb. 1.
