Junior forward Ariel Dale, who was also named to this week's PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll, made huge contributions off the bench for ART U during this past 2-0 week. Starting off with a 15-point, 15-rebound performance in Academy of Art University's 81-78 overtime victory at Hawaii Pacific (Jan. 17), Dale made her presence felt. The 15 rebounds ranks fourth in Urban Knight program history for a single game. She was a important factor in Academy of Art's 18 second chance points.
The Los Angeles, CA native then followed that up with a season-high 19 points as well as eight steals and seven rebounds in ART U's 92-51 win over BYU-Hawaii back home on Jan. 21. She would shoot 7-for-11 from the field and her eight steals tied single-game program record that senior guard Devin London set earlier this season. She made several key plays in the second half to keep the Knights in front.
"She has great energy and hands on the defensive end and has been that spark coming off the bench," head coach LaNay Larson said.
