Senior outfielder Ashley Lokey, who three years ago started off on fire for the Urban Knights, concluded her career just as hot this past Saturday. Following a special Senior Day ceremony prior to the first pitch, Lokey would tie the program's single-game hit record by going 4-for-4 in Academy of Art's 6-1 victory over Notre Dame de Namur in game one. She would blast a solo home run in the second contest, finishing the day 5-for-7 with a double, a homer, three runs scored, one run batted in, and a stolen base.
As she has done throughout her career, Lokey "started something" in the day's opening inning. The Eugene, OR native hit a leadoff double, swiped third base, and eventually came around to score during the ART U's initial three-run rally from which the home team never looked back. Lokey's seventh home run of the season then led off game two. She would earn a PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll selection as well.
