Alexis Moore capped off last week with a brilliant performance against BYU-Hawaii, but when you put together the three games in the past seven days it is easy to see why he was named Athlete of the Week for the Knights. The junior started the week by narrowly missing out on a triple-double, totaling 10 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists in the win over UH Hilo. He followed that up by scoring 13 points and dishing out six assists in the full 40 minutes against Chaminade, and then hit the game-tying three-pointer with 4.7 seconds on the clock against the Seasiders to send it to overtime, finishing with a game-high 31 points on 55% shooting, contributing another six assists, and grabbing five boards.
Moore is now averaging 16.8 points per game, good for second on the team and seventh in the conference, and his 302 points broke into the top 10 all-time best seasons for ART U with nine games left to play. Including the three that sent the BYU-Hawaii game into extra time, he has 46 three-pointers, the second-most in a single season behind Ameer Shamsud-din's 55, and has also made his way into the top ten single seasons in assists (7th, 62) and steals (8th, 32).
