Academy of Art University senior Kalani Brackenridge has been heating up lately, and just like last year is starting a second half push that is putting him in good position at the ART U batting record. The infielder has hits in eight of his last 10 games, and was a triple away from the cycle in a 4-for-5 performance on March 22. In the opening game of the series, he did have a triple that cleared the bases, knocking in three of the five RBIs he had in the four games.
Brackenridge is now hitting .290 on the season, and is tied for the team lead with 27 hits, while also leading the team in RBIs (12) and steals (12). He's also second on the team in slugging percentage (.441) after hitting his second career home run and first of the year. Brackenridge has played in every game in his two-year career, amounting to 74 straight starts.
