Sophomore Melissa Brum just got better and better as ART U Volleyball progressed through three matches in three days this past week. Beginning against Azusa Pacific on Sept. 25, Brum dropped 17 kills along with 11 digs and four blocks. A mere 24 hours later, she posted 19 kills and 15 digs while hitting .305 versus Dixie State on Sept. 26. Finally, the Stockton, CA native led the Urban Knights to a 3-2 victory over undefeated California Baptist on Sept. 27, delivering 22 kills and a season-high 16 digs.

Brum finished the week averaging 19.3 kills and 14.0 digs per match to maintain her spot atop the PacWest list with 201 total kills and 222 total points. In the national picture, she ranks eighth in all of NCAA Division II in points per set (4.93) and ninth in kills per set (4.47).
