Junior forward Jonathan Burnett averaged 14.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in the historic first week of Pacific West Conference play for Academy of Art. Burnett began the week with 15 points (including 7-of-10 from the free throw line), five rebounds, one assist, and one block in a 73-60 loss to Hawaii Hilo. Then, facing not just the top team in the PacWest, but also the league's top rebounder, he came through with 14 points on an incredible 6-of-7 shooting from the field against Hawaii Pacific. The Knights fell 80-69 to the Sea Warriors, but Burnett contributed three rebounds, two steals, and one block to keep AAU close throughout.
