On Saturday, November 15, 2008, the Academy of Art University's Student Athletic Advisory Committee helped clean the streets of San Francisco while taking part in the Academy of Art University's "keep our city clean and beautiful" project that partnered with KPIX Channel 5.

The Student Athletic Advisory Committee is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.

Several SAAC members along with members of the 13 intercollegiate Academy of Art University Athletics teams dedicated their weekend hours to help remove stickers and graffiti on street furnishings located on Academy of Art University adopted streets in San Francisco surrounding various Academy of Art University dormitories (Sutter, Bush and Pine Street).

This event marks the first of many community service projects that SAAC plans to participate in throughout the year.
