2023 SF State Invitational Results
SAN FRANCISCO – Competing at Golden Gate Park for the second time this season, Academy of Art men's cross country placed 13th at the SF State Invitational on Friday.
By the end of the 8k amid warm conditions, graduate student
Samy Achab was first across the finish line at 28:19.1, securing the 103rd spot (69 points toward team score). Following Achab, sophomore
Vaughn Lacour placed 114th (76 points toward team score) at 28:55.0, redshirt sophomore
Jaden Singleton took 125th (82 points toward team score) at 29:23.8, freshman
Bradley Bell turned in a time of 30:17.2 in 136th place (90 points toward team score), and sophomore
Taj-Leon Wisdom completed the ART U quintet at 34:50.4 in 166th (105 points toward team score).
As a team, the Urban Knights (422) took 13th place, besting Menlo (424), Santa Rosa (463), and Jessup (492). All five of Chico State's qualifiers finished inside the race's top eight with the individual winner Daniel Hernandez (24:42.0) powering the Wildcats to the top team result (22).
When ART U men's cross country next steps up to the starting line it will be for the Pacific West Conference Championship race at 10 a.m. on Oct. 21 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
