OPENING SERVE

The Urban Knights returned triumphant from St. George, UT and are heading into the Bay Area series with Dominican and NDNU with a winning record. ART U defeated Dixie State, Southern Utah, and Colorado Mesa on their swing through the Beehive State.

DOMINATION IN DIXIE
The Knights not only won in Dixie, but won big, sweeping all of their singles matches and only losing two sets over their three matches, ending the tournament 25-2 overall. Academy of Art also extended their record against host Dixie State to 7-1 all-time after a 9-0 victory. The Knights handily defeated Southern Utah and Colorado Mesa by identical scores of 8-1.

DOUBLES OR NOTHING
The Dominican Lady Penguins have been led by their #1 doubles team, Irina Morozova and Gaby Verspieren have only lost two matches this year as a team. Verspieren had only lost eight games all season up to their last matchup against Cal State Stanislaus, and the Knights had swept two matches up to that point, winning 9-0 against Montana State - Billings and NDNU.

CORTEZA BATTLING FOR THE ARGOS
Notre Dame de Namur has struggled in the early going, only sending five players out in the past couple matches. However, Rebecca Corteza continues to battle, winning her most recent doubles match against CCSF and her singles match in the number one slot. The Argos most recently lost 9-0 to Dominican.

ON THE DOCKET
After a busy weekend in the Bay Area, the Urban Knights will take on Division I San Jose State on March 16, and then host Dixie State at home on March 17.
