GREENWOOD, Ind. – Demonstrating their achievements both on and off the court, a trio of members from Academy of Art tennis in sophomore
Georgiana Parr, sophomore
Amelija Supulniece, and sophomore
Estelle Najean were honored for their combined academic and athletic excellence with selection to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, as announced on Tuesday.
The 2025 Academic All-District tennis teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
While she excelled on the court this season nearly tripling her total match count compared to her first year, Parr has maintained a 3.87 grade point average as a Fashion Styling
major while competing on Courts 3-6 for the Urban Knights. Coming out victorious on 16 occasions on the court this season, Parr competed in all 16 matches for ART U, filling into spots when needed as a reliable asset. A 2024 ITA Scholar-Athlete and
2023-24 Academic All-PacWest Team recipient last season, the native of Blankenese, Hamburg, Germany shined for the squad in her second year.
The 2025 Pacific West Player of the Year, Supulniece has done nothing but prove she is not only one of the best players in the PacWest Conference and West Region, but the country as well. The winner of the ITA West Regionals Singles Championship was ranked as high as No. 10 this season in singles, and once again adds to her accolades as an inductee into the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Team with her 3.62 GPA in the School of Interaction & UI/UX Design. Also a member of the
All-PacWest First Team (singles), Supulniece went 13-2 this season on the singles courts while going 11-1 in doubles, also added to the
All-PacWest Second Team (doubles).
Ranked as high as No. 32 nationally in singles this season, Najean has balanced her athletic success with academic achievement, maintaining a 3.50 grade point average as an Advertising major while competing on Courts 1–3 for the Urban Knights. She earned 14 match victories and appeared in every contest for ART U. A 2024 ITA Scholar-Athlete and All-PacWest Second Team (doubles) selection, the Perth, Australia native made a significant leap forward in her second year with the program.
These are the first CSC Academic All-District honors for Parr, Spulniece, and Najean in their respective careers.
