OPENING SERVE
The Academy of Art University women's tennis team had their win streak snapped in rude fashion, dropping four in a row against their toughest competition of the year. The Urban Knights were in tight competition in every match, leading a couple after doubles play, but faltered in singles play. They'll look to rebound on this final homestand, as it will be the tuneup before the PacWest Tournament and the possibly the NCAA Tournament later his month.

DIXIE STUCK IN THE DOLDRUMS
The Knights saw the Red Storm about a month ago, which is how long Dixie State has gone without playing. Their last match, a 9-0 loss to Dominican on April 11, was the first one since their only victory in the past ten matches, a 6-3 win over Holy Names back on March 11 to close out the Dixie State College Invitational. The Knights have won four in a row against the Red Storm including their 9-0 win earlier this year, and are looking for their fifth.

PENGUINS PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Dominican has been improving as the season has gone on, and have greatly moved forward from their 2-12 record last season. They have seven wins already this year after Thursday's victory over Dixie State, and will end the year with this match against the Knights. ART U has won six in a row over the Penguins.

EYES ON THE RECORD BOOKS
A number of ART U career and season records are within reach for members of this year's squad, with some even able to be achieved this weekend. Amal Ben El Hadj is only two wins off the pace for career singles wins, set at 39 by Laone Botshoma. Ben El Hadj (32) is also right behind Botshoma (37) in doubles wins, and has a chance at the single-season record, as her 13 wins this year are close on the heels of Jenny Johansson's 14 wins in 2013 and 16 wins in 2012. Johansson also holds the current record for best career winning percentage in singles (.789), while the Knights have four players in the top ten in single-season winning percentage in singles.

KEEPING THE SEAWOLVES AT BAY
The Urban Knights had their one of their closest matchups of the year against Sonoma State, when they came back from dropping two of three in doubles play to win four of six singles matches to take the match. The Seawolves are 10-4 since then, most recently defeating the Penguins 7-2 on April 6th. Lauren Ha and Sheena Johnson have won five in a row in doubles play, but will have to get through #19 UC San Diego before facing the Urban Knights.

WHAT'S UP NEXT
The Knights have a match scheduled at BYU-Hawaii as a prelude to the PacWest Championships, which will run from April 18 to April 20 in Waipahu, HI, on the Hawaii Pacific campus.
