San Francisco, CA — Six seniors enter their final weekend as Urban Knights this week, as the Academy of Art University men's soccer team closes out its 2014 season with its final road and home games of the year.

The Knights (6-10, 4-6 Pacific West Conference) and Holy Names (5-11, 3-7 PacWest) face off at 7 p.m. Thursday at Cal State East Bay's Pioneer Field. Senior Day festivities highlight Saturday's season finale at home against Notre Dame de Namur (8-7-2, 6-4-1 PacWest), scheduled for a noon kickoff now at
Skyline College.

The group of six veterans, which includes forward
Mike Anderson, midfielders
Brady Fiero,
Carlos Hernandez and Thobbi Sveinsson, goalkeeper
Joshua Leader and forward
Frederik Nagel, have combined to play in 192 games during their time donning the ART U jersey.

The five senior field players enter the final week of their careers with a combined 51 points (21 goals, 9 assists). Those players have made a combined 37 starts this season alone. Meanwhile, Leader has made 43 career saves in over 1,276 minutes played. He's already logged his third career shutout this season and holds a career Goals Against Average of 1.20.

ABOUT HOLY NAMESThe Hawks (5-11, 3-7 PacWest) have seen mixed results the past three weeks, earning splits in each of its last three weekend sets. Most recently HNU fell at Cal Baptist 7-3 on Thursday but rebounded Saturday at Point Loma to defeat the Sea Lions 2-1. Holy Names endured a seven-game losing streak from Sept. 18 to Oct. 18, in which six of seven defeats came by one goal.

The PacWest's leading scorer resides in Oakland with the Hawks, where Jaime Phillips has scored a conference-leading 18 goals and tallied a PacWest-best 38 points. If not for Holy Names' provisional NCAA Division II status, Phillips would be ranked fifth in the nation in goals scored and tied for eighth in points. Griffin Thomas has started 13 games in goal for the Hawks, making 78 saves and logging a 2.48 GAA.

ABOUT NOTRE DAME DE NAMURThe Argonauts (8-7-2, 6-4-1 PacWest) are 0-2-1 in their last three matches, but were 6-1 in their previous seven before that. Six of the team's seven losses this season have come by one goal. Saturday's game against the Urban Knights is NDNU's only game of the week and its season finale.

Notre Dame de Namur has three players with double-digit points this season. Jack Ewert leads the trio with seven goals and an assist (15 points). Jay Tsuruoka has held opponents to a 1.36 GAA and carries a 71.6 percent save percentage in 1,517 minutes minding the net.

Kristof Urbanyi scored two goals in one game Saturday for the second time in three games, leading ART U to a 2-1 victory at Dixie State. Urbanyi has scored four goals in the Knights' last three games and five in its last seven. He has the game-winning goals in both of the team's last two victories. He also has two assists during that time and now leads the team in goals scored (six) and points (15).
