KNIGHT WATCHHeading into this week, a total of nine Urban Knights have contributed to scores after junior defender
Laura Mick joined the group with her first goal of the year versus Dixie State. Among the scoring leaders are junior forward Rea Laudat, sophomore midfielder
Laney Haviland, and freshman defender
Natalie Rhodes each with two goals. Three players also have two assists apiece including Laudat, sophomore midfielder
Kendall Bozart, and junior midfielder
Natalie Gabriel. Laudat finds herself three assists away from tying Jasmine Sharpe the program lead in that category and she is both six goals and 11 points from tying career records holder Hannah Emmett.
Now with nine matches played apiece in goal, the Knights have split time between freshman
Morgan Wirz and sophomore
Maggie Alikpala-Wilson. Alikpala-Wilson has a team-high 40 saves with nine or more saves in her previous two starts including a
career-high 10 stops against Fresno Pacific.
ON POINTMoving into the start of PacWest play, Point Loma enjoyed two separate three-match winning streaks to win six of their last eight. Losses to California Baptist (Oct. 3) and Concordia (Oct. 17) are their only blemishes thus far while seven of their eight wins this year have been shutouts. A rather unselfish team, the squad is led by Keagan Bolibol's four assists (fourth in PacWest) and Easton Kawawaki's three goals. Defensively, Ariel Oriarte also paces the PacWest with seven shutouts in 2015. She has allowed just five goals in over 1,000 minutes through all 12 starts for the lowest goals against average in the conference (.416). The Sea Lions have won all three previous meetings with the Knights.
ZU LIFERanked No. 23 nationally by the NSCAA, Azusa Pacific won its first five matches to start the year including 1-0 wins over then-ranked No. 10 Stanislaus State and then-ranked No. 14 Cal State Los Angeles. Following one-goal losses to Point Loma and Concordia (double overtime), the Cougars have returned to their winning ways, defeating their last four opponents with three shutouts in that span. APU comes off a 2-1 win over Fresno Pacific most recently and will face Notre Dame de Namur this Thursday prior to Saturday's matchup with ART U. With 10 points by way of five goals, Azusa Pacific's Katelyn Rogers ranks fifth in the PacWest. In a three-way tie for second in the conference in shutouts (4) is APU's Sarah Klinkenberg. She also has the second-lowest goals against average at .562. To date, the Red Storm are 9-0 against ART U.
RED STORM TOP KNIGHTS IN HIGH-SCORING MATCHAcademy of Art University women's soccer and Dixie State combined for five goals in a wild first half before the Red Storm added one more in the second period to win 4-2. Both senior forwardÂ
Réa Laudat and junior defenderÂ

Oct. 17.
