Academy of Art versus Dominican Final Results

SAN FRANCISCO – No. 23 Academy of Art (2-0) took care of business when Dominican (0-3) came to town on Saturday, sweeping the Penguins 9-0 in all straight sets, but one.
 
Amidst the plethora of Urban Knights with dominant matches, freshman Alma Thell-Lentorp was the only player who did not drop a single game. The Sweden native defeated Dominican's Kelly Zwicker 6-0, 6-0. The other women's tennis players to record wins included: freshman Paula Alcantara (6-2, 6-1), freshman Taisiia Andrieieva (4-6, 6-4, 10-8), senior Michelle Dandik (6-3, 6-1), freshman Klara Thell-Lenntorp (6-2, 6-1), and sophomore Gabriela Rivas (6-3, 6-1).
 
ART U also won all of their doubles matches with Andrieieva and junior Annika Schneider combining for an 8-4 victory, Alcantara and Dandik receiving another 8-4 victory, and the Thell-Lenntorp twins only losing 2 games with a final score of 8-2.
 
The Urban Knights are back on the court on Sunday at 1 p.m. when Dixie States makes its way into the city by the bay.
