Lynn University, No. 23 Academy of Art headed to West Palm Beach to take on No. 39 Palm Beach Atlantic. Hungry for their first win in Florida, ART U came away with a decisive 5-0 sweep of the Sailfish.

The match began with three doubles wins for the Urban Knights. Junior
Annika Schneider and freshman
Alma Thell-Lenntorp paired up for the first time this season to defeat their opponents 8-2 while freshman
Paula Alcantara and senior Michelle Dandik (8-4) and freshman
Taisiia Andrieieva and sophomore
Gabriela Rivas (9-7) earned victories as well. Friday marked Rivas' first win and second appearance in doubles this season.

As the contest progressed to singles, ART U needed just two victories to seal the win. Although five out of six Knights led going into the second set of their respective matches, Dandik (6-2, 6-3) and Rivas (6-0, 6-0) were the first to finish, leaving the other four matchups incomplete. Dandik improved to 7-4 in third singles and Rivas 3-1 in the sixth category and 3-2 overall (0-1 in the fifth-spot). Friday's match also marked the second time that Rivas has defeated her opponent without conceding a game and her first since
March 19, 2015 at Chaminade.

Academy of Art (6-6) returns to Lynn University Tennis Courts on Saturday to take on the No. 12-ranked New York Institute of Technology Bears. The match will be the final of ART U's tour of Florida before returning home to San Francisco.Â
