Academy of Art versus UCSD Final ResultsÂ
SAN FRANCISCO – Academy of art women's tennis continued their streak of facing highly-ranked teams on Saturday, this time facing No. 22 UCSD. Although the Urban Knights exited doubles with a 2-1 lead, the Tritons caught fire and won four of six singles matches to secure the 5-4 victory.

For the second time this home stand, ART U has come away with two wins in the doubles portion of the match. On Saturday, Freshmen
Alma Thell-Lenntorp and
Klara Thell-Lenntorp dispatched of the nation's 25th-ranked doubles team (Kyra Scott and Britta Mosser) in 8-6 fashion. Freshman
Taisiia Andrieieva and junior
Annika Schneider took down their opponents for their seventh overall victory as a pair (8-4).

In singles, the Urban Knights fell just short of the three wins needed to emerge as victors. Senior
Michelle Dandik Zaale claimed one of the victories with a 6-4, 6-4 performance in third singles, while Alma took care of the second in the sixth category. A. Thell-Lenntorp dropped the first set 3-6, but rallied to win the next two with a 6-3 score in each. Klara was on the verge of winning in her fifth singles match, but just fell short in both sets (6-4 in each). Schneider also came close, forcing a tiebreaker in the first set of her fourth singles matchup, but could not come away with the win, falling 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 overall.

Academy of Art will receive the next six days off from competition, giving them their longest break since the middle of February. ART U will spend their time preparing for their final three matches of the season, with their first coming at home on Friday, April 1 versus Holy Names.Â
