HALFWAY THERE
After passing the halfway point, Academy of Art will play two more non-conference matches against Notre Dame de Namur and UC Santa Cruz before returning to PacWest play with Holy Names.

KICKOFF
ART U continues their non-conference stint with Notre Dame de Namur on Wednesday, October 10 at 3 p.m. and UC Santa Cruz Sunday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. The Urban Knights will then return to PacWest conference play Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. Remember to follow @ARTU_Knights via the athletics app (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and on Twitter & Instagram as well as "Like" the Urban Knights on Facebook for score updates, videos, and recaps.

KNIGHT WATCH
Freshman midfielder Gilli Kristjansson is coming off his first career goal in ART U's most recent game versus Fresno Pacific. The Iceland native dribbled to space inside the right side of the box and ripped a shot to the top left corner to tie the game at one a piece. Junior Adrian Cekala scored his team leading second goal in the same contest bringing his point total to four, tied for second most among all Urban Knights. Cekala also leads the team in shots with 21 including ten on goal. Rounding out the Knights to watch are junior midfielder Andrew Deans who scored his first goal of the season Oct. 6 and sophomore defender Oliver Hadeen who collected two assists in the match.   

JOSH AND THE ARGONAUTS
Notre Dame de Namur enters the game with a 2-7-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 conference record. The Argonauts started the season with a bang by blowing out Cal State East Bay 4-0, but then proceeded to lose six straight before defeating Biola 2-1 on Sept. 29th. In their most recent match, the Argonauts tied Chaminade 1-1 after neither team could find the net in two overtime periods. Josh Santillian leads NDNU with 14 points on five goals and four assists.

MOLLUSKS MOVE NORTH
UC Santa Cruz is currently 4-8 overall, with their most recent game being a 2-0 loss to Chico State. The Banana Slugs first win came on Sept. 9 versus Albion in a 2-0 victory. Shortly after UCSC went on a three game winning streak defeating Cal Lutheran 1-0, Cal State East Bay 4-3, and California Maritime 6-1. With six goals for 12 points, Ari Statler is the Banana Slugs leading scorer while Jacob Myers Norys leads the team in assists with four.  

HOLY HAWKS
After their most recent win over UH Hilo 1-0, Holy names is 3-6-1 overall and 2-1-0 in conference. The Hawks started the season with a pair of close loses before tying SF State 1-1. HNU collected their first win against the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs by way of a 4-2 victory. They proceeded to take down Dominican 2-0 the following game for their first PacWest win. The Hawks leading scorer is Josiah Romero who has accumulated three goals and a single assist for seven points. Academy of Art leads the all-time series 3-2-1 and are currently on a two game win streak against HNU with the most recent meeting going the Knights way by a score of 2-1.

ART U EXPLODES FOR SEASON HIGH THREE GOALS
Academy of Art and Fresno Pacific battled in a non-conference rematch that featured ART U's season high in goals, career firsts, and a dramatic overtime finish in Saturday's shootout at CCSF Soccer Field.

LOOKING AHEAD
After the trio of games, Academy of Art will head south for their final road-trip of the season to take on Azusa Pacific Oct. 20th and Concordia Oct. 22nd.
