URBAN KNIGHTS BEGIN CONFERENCE PLAY
After a week break with no games, Academy of Art men's soccer is back in action! ART U will begin PacWest conference with two away matches in Northern California, facing off against Fresno Pacific on Monday, then taking on Dominican on Saturday.

KNIGHT WATCH
Freshman midfielder
Edvard Edvarsson is coming off his first career goal in their most recent match versus Humboldt State. After being awarded a free kick the freshman launched an extraordinary shot past the diving goalkeeper to the back left corner of the net. The Iceland native shares the lead in points for the Urban Knights with
Oliver Hadeen, both of whom have two points on one goal.
SUNBIRDS FLYING HIGH
Fresno Pacific comes into their game against the Knights with a record of 1-0-1, including a win against No. 4 Cal Poly Pomona 2-1, and a tie versus Chico State 2-2. Jose Vargas is the Sunbirds leading scorer with four points on two goals. FPU is undefeated against Academy of Art with six wins and zero loses. In their most recent encounter the Sunbirds beat the Urban Knights 5-1.
PENGUINS SLIDE ON
After taking down UC Santa Cruz in their most recent game 2-1, Dominican is 3-2 in their 2018 campaign. Their most recent loss came against SFSU when they were shut out 3-0. The Penguins leading scorer is Wilson Briggs, coming in with a whopping nine points on four goals and an assist. Dominican comes in as the school ART U has played most in their history. The all-time series currently sits at 8-6, with the Urban Knights taking the most recent meeting by a score of 2-1.
MEN'S SOCCER TAKES LOSS TO HUMBOLDT STATE 3-1
Academy of Art took on Humboldt State in their final non-conference match of the year. Despite freshman midfielder
Edvard Edvarsson scoring his first career goal the Urban Knights dropped the match to Humboldt State 3-1.
LOOKING AHEAD
After the pair of matches, Academy of Art will continue PacWest play with their first game at their new home, Paul Goode Field, versus Biola Thursday Sept. 27 at 10:30 a.m. Two days later ART U will be still be in the city but at a different field: CCSF to face Point Loma Saturday Sept. 29 at noon.
