Connor Henrichs forced overtime. Neither team found the net in the overtime minutes and the game would finish as a 2-2 tie.
"To come back from two down in the second half and force overtime on the road is a massive lift for the guys," said head coach
Alex Yi. "They more than deserve it."

Edvard Edvarsson claimed the first shot on goal of the match that was met with a save from the Penguins goalkeeper. Ten minutes later Dominican tested sophomore goalkeeper
Kris Jensson with a header on target which he repelled for a save. ART U collected two more shots and another save before the end of the half, and went into the break tied 0-0.
The scoreless tie was broken just seven minutes into the second half when Dominican player Colin Gunby headed in a cross. The Penguins struck again in the 70th minute to pad their lead 2-0.
As the clock wound down past the 80th minute, hope was fading for Academy of Art, until Dominican committed a foul just outside the box. Edvarsson lined up the free kick from 20 yards and played an outstanding ball center box. Lacey found it at his feet and slotted it between the right post and the goalkeeper. ART U was back in the game down just 2-1.

The second goal the Urban Knights scored had a couple similarities to the first: it happened on a set piece, it was assisted by Edvarsson, and it was scored by a Connor -- Henrichs this time. Edvarsson played an even prettier ball into the box on his second attempt, prompting Henrichs to leap into the air and head the ball into the net for the equalizer in the 86th minute. ART U had successful come back from a two to nothing deficit with just nine minutes to play.
Two minutes later a head-first-diving Edvarsson nearly averted overtime when he almost hit a ball past the Penguin goalkeeper who made an impressive save. When the final whistle blew the score remained 2-2, so to overtime they went.
Both teams had minimal chances in the overtime periods, collecting three shots a piece, but none could find the net. The final score remained 2-2.
"The guys showed some grit while playing good attacking football and we created better chances," said Yi. "I'm pleased with the comeback but I know we feel we could have taken that game."
After the come from behind tie, Academy of Art moves to 1-4-1 overall and 0-1-1 in PacWest. The Urban Knights will finally play their first home match of the season at Paul Goode Field Thursday Sept. 27 at 10:30 versus Biola.
