IRVINE, Calif. –Academy of Art women's tennis senior Mariacristina Andrisani has been named the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week after she was undefeated in her two matches during the Urban Knights' 6-1 win over Stanislaus State last week. The award is for matches played from Feb. 17-23. 
 
Playing out of the No. 1 singles spot, Andrisani outlasted Ashley Issac in three sets, 6-0, 4-6, 10-4, earning her fourth singles victory of the year. All of her singles wins have come from the first position.
 
In doubles action, Andrisani and partner Sofia Ragona made quick work of the duo of Isaac and Kayla Nguyen, taking the match 6-0. As a team, Andrisani and Ragona are undefeated in doubles at 4-0 this season, all from the first doubles position.
 
This is the first PacWest weekly honor for Andrisani in her career.
