PacWest Weekly Awards (Oct. 4)

IRVINE, Calif. – A breakout performance at the Sacramento State Invitational propelled Academy of Art women's cross country graduate student Hasna Kaarour to be named Pacific West Conference Runner of the Week. The award is for meets held from Sept. 27 - Oct. 3.

Through the 6k course at Johnson-Springview Park in Rocklin on Oct. 1, Kaarour bettered her previous season-best by more than 45 seconds with a time of 21:47.8 across the finish line. The ART U leader on the day, she took 12th overall among a large collection of competitors from NCAA Division I institutions.

Kaarour and the Urban Knights will be back in action at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Santa Clara at Baylands Park on Oct. 16.
