2021 All-PacWest Teams

IRVINE, Calif. – After both placed among the top 19 at the Pacific West Conference Championship, Academy of Art men's cross country juniors Saba Khvichava and Hudson Lockette officially garnered recognition as All-PacWest Third Team honorees in a Wednesday announcement.

Hanging tough among the top five runners in the 8k race on Oct. 23, Khvichava finished 16th overall with a 26:13.2 mark. He led the Urban Knights for the fifth time this season.

Lockette put himself into the upper tier midway through the tour of Kahuku Golf, passing 14 other runners between the first and second splits. In the end, he came through at 19th overall sporting a time of 26:17.9.

This is the first All-PacWest Team honor for Khvichava in his career and the second cross country selection for Lockette who earned All-PacWest Second Team in 2019. Khvichava, Lockette, and the rest of the ART U men's cross country squad will be in action this Saturday, Nov. 6 for the NCAA West Regional Championship 10k held at Ash Creek Preserve in Monmouth, Ore.
