SAN FRANCISCO – Continuing to build upon the program's bright future, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Kevin LaSure, Cross Country Head Coach Steve Fuelling, and their staff have announced the signing of
Jaden Singleton (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) ahead of the fall season.
"Jaden has shown the willingness to stretch his speed over a variety of distances," said Director of Operations
Bruce Jackson. "He will become a versatile student-athlete for ART U."
Success has followed Singleton in cross country and track & field during his time on both varsity teams at Sachem North High School. In each sport, he was a team captain and All-League while adding league and county championships in cross country and the trifecta of league, county, and state titles in track & field.
Owner of five school records, Singleton's personal bests at 2.5 miles (13:54.8) and 5000m (16:30.1) both came in 2019 while his top marks in the outdoor 400m (48.93), 600m (1:31.50), 800m (2:00.25 for first in the Section 11 Division I Boys Final), and 1600m (4:39.44) followed in 2021.
Pursuing a future career path in concept art, Singleton is set to enter the Academy of Art School of Visual Development this fall.
