TRIP ACROSS THE BRIDGE
Academy of Art men's soccer will head to the North Bay to battle with Dominican in a Pacific West Conference matchup on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Kennelly Field. 

KICKOFF

KNIGHT WATCH
Senior midfielder/forward Gilly Miller continues to lead the Urban Knights offense with 10 points on three goals and four assists (third in PacWest). Miller has already broken the program record for all-time assists by an individual player earlier this season, and needs one more point to be the sole leader of all-time points as well, as he currently is tied at 47. Freshman midfielder Joey Glaab has continued his streak of playing in every minute of the Knights' 2023 season, and is also now tied for second on the squad with junior forward Alejandro Palos in points (8), climbing into the spot after his fourth goal of the year Glaab scored last Saturday against Fresno Pacific. Sophomore goalkeeper Jaiden Brooks is coming off another full match played in goal, currently sitting with 53 saves on the year (4.42 per game ranking third in PacWest), with a 2.72 goals against average.

DANCING WITH DOMINICAN
Dominican enters their match with ART U with an overall record of 5-4-3 and a conference record of 3-1-1, currently sitting with nine points and ranked amongst the top teams in the PacWest (second place). Within the Penguins' last five matches, three have been against the bottom three of the PacWest in the standings, as they would come out of those going 2-0-1. In the other two matches in their last five, they tied with Menlo while dropping a match to eighth-place Azusa Pacific. Lex Bernier is the leader in points for the Penguins (12), and ranks first in shots in the PacWest while being second in shots on goal. Alejandro Reyes will be in goal with his 1.5 goals against average. When the Knights and Penguins matched up earlier this season in a non-conference setting, the result came to be a 2-2 tie. The Knights are 11-8-2 all-time against Dominican coming into their upcoming match.

MEN'S SOCCER FIGHTS BACK TO TIE WITH FPU ON SENIOR DAY
In a back-and-forth battle on Senior Day, Academy of Art men's soccer came out of the day with a tie, as the Urban Knights and Sunbirds of Fresno Pacific ended 2-2 at CCSF Soccer Field on Oct. 14.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Urban Knights will complete their 2023 campaign with a Southern California road trip, starting with a matchup with Westmont on Oct. 30, with Point Loma (Nov. 2) and Biola (Nov. 4) following thereafter.
